In the current era of construction boom, the industry demands civil engineers specialized in structural engineering as well as construction management for expert handling of complex construction projects. Civil Engineering practitioners require strategic overview of construction management issues together with advanced structural engineering knowledge for professional excellence. Federal Institute of Science and Technology (FISAT) pursue its vision and mission through organization of international and national conferences and workshops, expert talks, practical training etc. The First National Conference in Structural Engineering and Management, organized by the Department of Civil Engineering, is one such event, aimed to present, share and discuss current interests and developments in structural engineering and construction management
